The purpose of rhinoplasty is to improve nose appearance. It involves reshaping the bones, cartilage, and soft tissue of the nose in order to achieve a more attractive shape and size.

Plastic surgeons in Sooke who are experts at facial features, such as noses, can perform rhinoplasty.

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to balance your facial features, enhance your natural beauty and create symmetry.

You can discuss with the surgeon how you would like your nose changed to fit your aesthetic goals.

Your surgeon then makes incisions strategically on or around your nose so that they may access the inner structure and modify it as required.

For optimal results, all incisions will be closed with skin glue or sutures at the end of surgery.

To ensure healing and recovery, it is important to follow the post-operative instructions. This includes taking time off work or school as well as avoiding strenuous activity until you are fully recovered.

Revision Rhinoplasty

Sooke’s busy streets can be heard for miles. Yet, deep inside one of the city’s many operating theatres, another kind of activity takes place: revision rhinoplasties.

This procedure is complex and requires highly skilled surgeons. They must sculpt the patient’s nose to improve facial appearances while ensuring that they are durable. In its simplest form, revision rhinoplasty involves fixing any problems that may have occurred during previous surgeries.

The procedure begins with a thorough evaluation by an experienced surgeon. He will examine the nose carefully and formulate a treatment plan that is specific to each patient’s situation. In some cases, general anesthesia may be required before the procedure begins. Once the doctor is ready, he or she will follow the original plan carefully while performing delicate technique to restore balance without compromising the patient’s comfort or safety.

For full correction, it may be necessary to perform additional cartilage grafting. After completing all steps, bandages are applied and post-operative care instructions provided so that recovery can begin immediately and progress smoothly toward achieving desired results.

Closed Rhinoplasty

Closed rhinoplasty surgery is one of Sooke’s most common nose procedures. It involves making small incisions inside the nostrils so that the surgeon can reshape and refine a patient’s nasal structure without leaving any visible scarring.

During the procedure, either bone or cartilage can be removed to achieve a pleasing aesthetic result. Closed rhinoplasty has the goal of giving patients more symmetry, while still maintaining their facial features.

Closed Rhinoplasty is a great option for those who want to recover quickly, have less pain and improve their appearance in a matter of weeks. Closed rhinoplasty also reduces risks such as infection since there are fewer external areas exposed during the operation.

Most patients feel little discomfort following the procedure and can return to normal activity relatively quickly. When deciding whether closed rhinoplasty is right for them, potential patients should consult with their physician about all possible options and make sure they understand exactly what will happen before undergoing any type of cosmetic surgery.

A consultation with a plastic surgeon who is board-certified can help each person get the personalized treatment they need to achieve their desired surgical results.

Open Rhinoplasty

If you’re considering nose surgery in Sooke, open rhinoplasty may be the right option for you.

Open rhinoplasty involves an incision made on the columella, which is the strip of skin that separates the nostrils. This allows access to cartilage and bone structures beneath.

It allows the plastic surgeons to have greater control of their work, as they can reshape certain areas with ease without having to move too many soft tissues during the procedure.

After the surgery, many patients report that they are able to breathe better because of the adjustments made.

Open rhinoplasty is more time-consuming than closed rhinoplasty but can have many positive results. It’s worth the extra effort.

Open rhinoplasty recovery times vary depending on individual cases. However, it can often take six weeks for swelling to subside enough to reveal the full result.

Following post-operative directions closely is essential to a successful recovery and to minimize any risks or complications related to nose surgery.

Open rhinoplasty may be the right treatment for you. Speak to a board-certified surgeon about your goals and concerns. This will help you decide if it is right for you.

Functional Rhinoplasty

The open rhinoplasty option isn’t your only choice for nose surgery. Functional rhinoplasty is a new approach that has its own benefits.

Functional rhinoplasty aims to address underlying issues like malformation or dysfunction, which may cause breathing problems. This type of procedure helps improve the airflow in the nasal passages, while also improving appearance.

Under general anaesthesia the surgeon makes incisions into the nostrils, allowing him to reach both sides of the septum. The surgeon makes the necessary corrections for optimal air flow in the nasal cavities as well as normal functioning of the internal nose structures.

This type of surgery, which restores function as well as cosmetic concerns by reducing hump size and refining tip shape can be performed if desired. The recovery time for functional rhinoplasty usually ranges from one week up to three months depending on factors such as age and health of patient prior to surgery.

After surgery, it is important to avoid strenuous activities for at least 2 weeks and keep the head elevated while lying down. For patients who have had such surgery, it’s crucial that they follow the instructions of their doctor to get an optimal result with minimal risks.

Non-Surgical Nose Job

Dermal fillers are used to increase volume, improve contours, smooth out bumps and dips on the bridge of the nose, straighten crooked or twisted noses, or even correct asymmetry due to trauma or injury.

The results can last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on which product is used. The main advantage of this treatment is that it does not require a long downtime, like traditional surgery. Patients are able to resume their daily activities in just 24 hours.

There is also no scarring risk because only small needles are employed during the injection procedure. Also, there is minimal discomfort and little swelling, as well as instant results.
