Revision Rhinoplasty

Orléans’s busy streets can be heard for miles. The activity in the operating rooms is different. It’s a revision rhinoplasty.

In this complex procedure, highly-trained surgeons sculpt the nose of a patient to improve facial aesthetics and durability over time. The main goal of revision rhinoplasty surgery is to correct any mistakes that were made during previous procedures or fix problems such as asymmetry and internal structural damage.

The process typically begins with an evaluation by a skilled surgeon who will examine the nose closely and create a treatment plan tailored to each individual situation. In some cases, general anesthesia may be required before the procedure begins. Once prepared, the doctor carefully follows the initial plan while using delicate techniques to restore balance and comfort to the face.

In certain cases additional cartilage may be needed for a complete correction. After completing all steps, bandages are applied and post-operative care instructions provided so that recovery can begin immediately and progress smoothly toward achieving desired results.

Closed Rhinoplasty

Closed rhinoplasty is one of the most common forms of nose surgery performed in Orléans. The procedure involves making tiny incisions within the nostrils to allow the surgeon to reshape the nasal structure of the patient without leaving visible scars.

In order to achieve an attractive result, the bone or cartilage is removed. The goal of closed rhinoplasties is to improve symmetry and preserve facial features while giving patients a more pleasing result.

Closed rhinoplasty offers several benefits including minimal recovery downtime, reduced pain, and an improved look within a few weeks of the procedure. Closed rhinoplasties also reduce risks, such as infection, since fewer external surfaces are exposed during the surgery.

Most patients feel little discomfort following the procedure and can return to normal activity relatively quickly. Before deciding if closed rhinoplasty surgery is for you, talk to your doctor about all the options available and ensure that you understand what will happen.

Open Rhinoplasty

If you’re considering nose surgery in Orléans, open rhinoplasty may be the right option for you.

Open rhinoplasty involves making an incision on the columella–the strip of skin separating nostrils–to gain access to underlying cartilage and bone structures.

This gives plastic surgeons more control as they are able to access these areas easier and reshape them without having the soft tissues moved around excessively during the surgery.

Afterwards, patients report improved breath after this type surgery. This is due to the adjustments that were made by removing any obstructions within the nasal cavity.

Although open rhinoplasty requires more recovery than closed rhinoplasty it can produce many positive outcomes and is worth the extra effort.

Recovery after an open rhinoplasty is dependent on the uniqueness of each case. However, most patients take between six and eight weeks before they see their full results.

In order to promote a healthy healing process, and minimize potential risks or complications from nose surgery, it is crucial to carefully follow the postoperative instructions.

If open rhinoplasty sounds like it might be for you then speaking with a certified board surgeon could help determine if the treatment will be effective in helping you achieve your desired result.

Functional Rhinoplasty

Open rhinoplasty in Orléans, Ontario is not the only choice when it comes to nose surgery. Functional rhinoplasty offers a different approach with its own set of benefits.

Functional rhinoplasty treats underlying problems such as malformations that cause breathing issues. This type of procedure helps improve the airflow in the nasal passages, while also improving appearance.

Functional rhinoplasty, performed under general anaesthesia involves making incisions on both sides of a septum. The surgeon will then make any necessary corrections to ensure optimal air flow through the nasal cavities and restore normal function of the nose’s internal structures.

This surgery not only restores functionality but also addresses cosmetic concerns, such as reducing hump shape or refining tip form if desired. Recovery time for functional rhinoplasties can range from one week to three months, depending on the patient’s age and health prior to surgery.

For at least two weeks, avoid any strenuous activity and raise your head while you are lying on your back. To achieve the best possible outcome, patients should closely follow their doctor’s instructions.

If the consultation goes well, your surgeon will set a date and tell you how to prepare.

Safety always comes before anything else, regardless of whether you’re having cosmetic nose surgery or functional. The use of advanced technology by highly trained professionals is used to provide the highest level of care for every patient, from their pre-operative preparation through to their post-operative recuperation.

These operations, when performed by trained personnel in optimal conditions, can have dramatic results and improve self-confidence and life quality.

Non-Surgical Nose Job

The non-surgical procedure can help you improve the shape and the symmetry of your nasal bridge without the need for surgery. It uses dermal fillers to add volume, reshape contours, reduce bumps or dips in the bridge of your nose, straighten out crooked noses, and even correct asymmetry caused by trauma or injury.

Results are instantaneous and can last anywhere from six months to two year depending on the product. The main advantage of this treatment is that it does not require a long downtime, like traditional surgery. Patients are able to resume their daily activities in just 24 hours.

Injections only use tiny needles, so there is no risk of scarring. Other advantages include minimal discomfort, instant results with little swelling afterwards, and a much lower cost than surgical rhinoplasty.

Non-surgical nose jobs offer an effective way to enhance one’s facial features without going under the knife.
